Southstar Timepieces has been buying, selling and consigning luxury and vintage watches out of Brisbane since 2016. We are a licensed second-hand dealer in Queensland, not a marketplace or a drop-shipper, which means every watch that carries our name has actually passed through our hands, been opened, inspected and signed off before it is offered to a buyer.

The collection spans current-production sports watches through to honest, wearable vintage: Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Cartier, Vacheron Constantin, Tudor and Omega, among others. Some pieces arrive brand new with factory stickers still on the caseback. Others are decades old, carrying the kind of even, honest patina that only comes from being worn rather than stored. We list both the same way: with an accurate condition note, a clear price and no inflated claims about rarity or investment potential.

How we work

Every watch is authenticated in-house before it is listed, using the same checks a specialist workshop would apply: movement, case, dial and bracelet or strap are all inspected for consistency with the reference and the claimed year. We issue a full GST tax invoice on every sale, and delivery is fully insured and signature-required, whether it is heading across Brisbane or across the country. Viewings happen in Brisbane, by appointment, so you can put a watch on your wrist before you commit to it.

If you are looking to sell, we buy outright and also take consignment across every brand we carry, including watches without box or papers. We would rather look at a watch in person than guess at its value over the phone, so most enquiries start with a few photographs and end with a real number the same business day.
